EMI share schemes increased eligibility to widen scope

The Enterprise Management Incentive (EMI) scheme offers a tax efficient way to incentivise key employees by offering them options to buy shares in the company. The eligibility criteria will be widened to apply to companies with up to 500 employees, with an increased share option limit of £6m, and with the exercise period for EMI options also extended from 10 years to 15 years.
