KRW Support the death valley challenge
Earlier this month we sponsored Andrew Barber, Neil Gothard and Chris Cox in the Death Valley Challenge 2014, a charity cycle ride in the Nevada desert.
On 8th November 2014 the guys flew to the Nevada desert and took on the challenge of cycling through Death Valley in order to raise money for Great Ormond Street Hospital.
Over the course of 5 days they covered 266 miles through the mountainous desert of Death Valley, ascending some 17,024 feet, albeit with some awesome descents along the way too, all in 33 degree heat, much higher than anything the guys had experienced in training.
It was an amazing event and a great achievement and we at KRW were proud to have given our support as joint shirt sponsors.
Thanks to their fund raising efforts prior to the challenge itself (which included a fantastic charity black tie evening) in total the guys managed to raise over £15,000 for Great Ormond Street Hospital which was an amazing achievement.
